In an environment of co-creation and individual attention, we will be creating projects using as many organic and found materials as possible. Throughout this eight-week course, we will explore various formats and media such as: natural pigments, living tapestries, moss murals, stencil-making and site-specific installations. The scale of projects will be based on individual choice and curiosity, will be participant-led, and will relate to the environment we live in.<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<br \/>\nIndividual and group projects will aim to express what participants bring to the course, taking into account each style, approach, vision and preference. We will use various media (improvised, found and new). This course will foster a dynamic and encouraging environment that places emphasis on creative process over final product. It is designed to access basic conceptual skills while emphasizing and enhancing creative confidence and expression. Our work will evolve towards one solo multi-media project, and one collective final project intended to be installed as a group and displayed as an exhibit. To conclude the course, parents and friends will be invited to a vernissage to celebrate and discuss the work.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>L\u2019ART VIVANT &amp; BIEN AU-DEL\u00c0 est un cours con\u00e7u pour que les jeunes soient part d\u2019une \u00e9volution cr\u00e9atif. Dans un environnement de co-cr\u00e9ation et d&rsquo;attention individuelle, nous allons cr\u00e9er des projets en utilisant autant de mati\u00e8res organiques et trouv\u00e9 que possible. Tout au long de ce cours de huit semaines, nous allons explorer diff\u00e9rents formats et techniques tels que: pigments naturels, tapisseries vivantes, murales vivantes faits de la mousse, dessin au pochoir et installations en situ. It is designed to access basic drawing skills, while emphasizing creative confidence and expression.<\/p>\n<p>Over twelves weeks, participants will work their way from traditional, introductory drawing basics (line, shadow, composition, etc.) and progress towards their own multi-media projects. Weekly exercises and practice in personal sketchbooks will evolve to medium and large-scale works aimed to be installed outdoors or in a public context. As well as pencil and charcoal, we will use various media (improvised, found and new), and explore stencils, use of colour, mural concept and design, 3-D techniques, and installation of works. Participants of the course will evolve towards one solo multi-media project and one collective final project that will be installed by group and displayed as an exhibit. To conclude the course, parents and friends will be invited to a vernissage to celebrate and discuss the work.<\/p>\n<p>LE MERVEILLEUX MONDE DU DESSIN est un cours qui favorisera un environnement cr\u00e9atif et encourageant pour permettre \u00e0 chaque participant de comprendre l&rsquo;essentiel de perception, de d\u00e9veloppement des techniques diverses pour s&rsquo;exprimer et approfondir leur art d&rsquo;observation. Il est con\u00e7u pour d\u00e9velopper des comp\u00e9tences et des techniques de dessin de base, tout en mettant l&rsquo;accent sur la confiance et l&rsquo;expression cr\u00e9ative.<\/p>\n<p>Au fil des semaines, les participants parcourreront un chemin \u00e0 partir de dessin de base traditionnels, d&rsquo;introduction au dessin (ligne, ombre, composition, etc) et progr\u00e8sseront vers leurs propres projets multim\u00e9dias. Des exercices hebdomadaires et des pratiques dans leurs carnets \u00e0 dessin deviendra des \u0153uvres de moyenne et grande mesure pour but d\u2019\u00eatre installer \u00e0 l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur ou dans un contexte public.
