\nThe course will foster a creative and encouraging environment to allow each participant to understand the basics of perception, to develop various techniques for expression and to deepen their art of seeing. It is designed to access basic drawing skills, while emphasizing creative confidence, innovation and expression. \u00a0(No classes October 26-27.)Ce cours proposera un environnement cr\u00e9atif et encourageant qui permettra \u00e0 chaque participant de comprendre les bases de la perception, de se familiariser par rapport \u00e0 diverses techniques d’expression et de d\u00e9velopper leur regard artistique. _______________________________PROJECTS FOR PUBLIC SPACES I | PROJETS POUR ESPACES PUBLICS I | MIXED MEDIA | TECHNIQUES MIXTES | 12 \u2013 16 YEARS \/ ANS<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nThis course will introduce the street art basics to burgeoning young artists. How can classroom creations fit into public space and transform our everyday environment? Walking tours around Wakefield will inspire students to think about village space differently. We will begin with drawing and sculpture, then move on to stencil graffiti, sticker art, wheatpasting and poster art, street installations, guerilla gardening, yarn bombing. How to commission for public art projects; how store owners and street artists can build a community; which are the parameters to follow as a professional artist working in public spaces? All of those questions and much more will also be discussed in this lively course.\u00a0(No classes October 26-27.)Ce cours vise \u00e0 initier les jeunes artistes aux principes de base de l’art urbain. Comment des \u0153uvres cr\u00e9\u00e9es en studio peuvent-elles s’ins\u00e9rer dans l’espace public et transformer l’environnement de tous les jours? Des promenades guid\u00e9es \u00e0 pied autour du campus d\u2019Orl\u00e9ans inspireront les \u00e9tudiants et les pousseront \u00e0 percevoir \u00e0 l’espace urbain autrement. Nous commencerons par le dessin et la sculpture, pour ensuite explorer graffiti au pochoir, art autocollant, affiche de rue, jardins clandestins, installations de rue et tricot urbain. Comment acc\u00e9der aux contrats pour les projets d’art public; comment les propri\u00e9taires de magasins et les artistes de rue peuvent-ils contribuer \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un esprit de communaut\u00e9; quels sont les param\u00e8tres \u00e0 suivre en tant qu’artiste de rue professionnel? THE ADVENTURES OF EMILY CARR I | LES AVENTURES D\u2019EMILY CARR I | DRAWING AND PAINTING | DESSIN ET PEINTURE | 9 \u2013 13 YEARS \/ ANS<\/p>\n

Explore the beauty of the natural world through pencil sketching, journaling, watercolour and acrylic. This course is inspired by the prolific career of Emily Carr, artist and writer influenced by the indigenous peoples of Pacific Northwest Canada. Learn the basics of sketching, colour mixing, composition, form, tree and plant identification and more. Understand some of Haida Gwaii\u2019s rich culture and animals through carvings, crests, buttons, blankets, totem poles and silver as well as many of the photos Emily brought back with her from here travels in 2008 (No classes October 26-27).<\/p>\n

D\u00e9couvre la beaut\u00e9 de la nature gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 tes esquisses, la tenue d\u2019un cahier de croquis, l’aquarelle et l’acrylique. Ce cours s\u2019inspire de la prolifique carri\u00e8re d’Emily Carr, artiste et \u00e9crivaine qui fut influenc\u00e9e par les peuples indig\u00e8nes de la c\u00f4te pacifique du Canada. Tu apprendras les bases de l’esquisse, le m\u00e9lange des couleurs, la composition, la forme, l’identification des arbres et plus encore. Tu en apprendras aussi sur la culture des Ha\u00efdas et sur les animaux repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s dans les sculptures, cimiers, boutons, couvertures, m\u00e2ts tot\u00e9miques et dans l\u2019argenterie.
