\nWednesday, May 22, 5@7.<\/b>This May, Sprout Out Loud! would like to introduce and celebrate their newest issue #2 with the Montreal public: Occupy the Streets with Land Art & Guerilla Gardening, offered by Emily Rose Michaud.<\/p>\n

Join us for a bilingual visual presentation on Guerilla Gardens and Land Art followed by a hands-on planting.<\/p>\n

The presentation will highlight citizen-led gardening initiatives and their ties to grassroots social movements; look at the nature of engagement as it pertains to land use and participatory democracy and re-affirm the need for the poetic, political and public when it comes to art and action. Considering our role as social and cultural pollinators at both the local and international level, simple gestures will be highlighted: ones which are inclusive, concrete, creative, inter-generational and life-affirming. When it comes to the built and natural spaces that compose our lives, this presentation aims to invigorate a radical re-imagining of our cities and villages and how we may (re)shape them.<\/p>\n

Sprout
\nOut Loud\u2019s second issue archives the contributions of engaged artists,
\ncitizens, activists and gardeners from Canada and beyond with
\nsubmissions by: Sean Martindale, Sara Torrie, Norman Nawrocki, Anne
\nGoldenberg, Dominique Ferraton, Andrew Mckay, Kimberley Mok, Bruce
\nCawdron, Kendra Besanger, Matthew Bennett, Scott Duncan, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Cadieux,
\nGelareh Saadatpajouh & Talayeh Hamidya.<\/p>\n

This event is free & ‘zines in both languages will be available for purchase.<\/p>\n

Venez nous joindre \u00e0 la Librairie Drawn & Quarterly pour le lancement de ‘zine, avec pr\u00e9sentation visuelle bilingue\u00a0qui a comme th\u00e9matique le Land Art et les jardins clandestins. Le tout sera\u00a0suivie d’une plantation \u00e0\u00a0l’ext\u00e9rieur de la librairie.<\/p>\n
