Sanctuary, Sustenance, Sprouts was a project involved documenting traces of my body (in prints using ash, herbs, spices and oil) while caring for seedlings. Invested in sanctuary as a means of both personal and broader, cultural preservation, the project was an inquiry into what sustained me day to day. Particularly enlivening sources of sustenance came to me when all senses were engaged, and when physically participating in the life cycle.
