Made during the first weeks of the pandemic, a time I found myself visiting the water every day. So I walked to the Kichi Sibi, watched the people, watched the currents. Returned home and sketched, did my linocuts. These six-sided water molecules emerged from that time, Spring 2020.
Each piece was made with a feeling in mind. Images sketched and carved were inspired by the words: Immunity; Grace; Resilience; Hold; Breath; Transmute.
The rest is history and the designs continue to this day, in my practice, in new forms, such as in my recent project Illuminated Seasons.
